Leighton picked for HK garden of remembrance

1 Jul 16 Hong Kong’s government has picked Cimic Group company Leighton Asia to construct a HK$1.8bn (£173m) garden of remembrance.

The project forms part of the government’s objective of addressing the shortage of public spaces dedicated to the memory of the deceased. The scope of work includes the construction of an eight‐storey columbarium – a repository for urns – as well as a 4,800m2, access road and other ancillary facilities.

ɫèֱ is expected to begin this month for completion in March 2019.
