Following a review of governance arrangements, the clunkily named Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) has elected a new board.
The new board members include: Paul Mabey, JCB major account manager; 聽David Fox, Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire regional manager; Andrew Thompson, Cleveland Group chief executive; and Josh Thompson, GR8 Tool Hire managing director.
They join four previously elected board members: Phil Leahy, chair of HAE EHA and director of Sunbelt Rentals UK; Sally Wray, Vice-chair of HAE EHA and owner of GoHire Group; David Probert, business development director at Seddons Plant & Engineers; and Stuart Slaughter, co-founder and managing director of Plato Catering Hire.
The new governance arrangements are designed to add strategic focus for the association and allow a wider range of working groups and committees.
The association鈥檚 chief executive, Paul Gaze, explained: 鈥淓ach member will be given a specific focus to lead on, such as the industry supply chain and independent hirers. We look forward to sharing more details with our members in the coming months.鈥
Chair Phil Leahy added: 鈥淭he new board of directors provides the association with enhanced focus and member insight to accelerate delivery on those things that matter most to members. The new arrangements will bring together a broader range of member expertise to the benefit of the entire hire sector.鈥
