The company is being managed by insolvency practitioners Guy Mander and Graham Bushby from the Birmingham office of Baker Tilly Restructuring & Recovery.
Based in Carterton, about 10 miles west of Oxford, Walkplace had been trading since 1985.
It had built extensions and teaching blocks for numerous schools in the area, including: Henry Box School, Woodgreen School, Ewleme Primary School, Leafield Primary School and St Michaels School in Steventon.
