With three hotels already in England, hotel and diner group Mollie鈥檚 is now looking to Scotland with plans to build within an Edinburgh business park.
Mollie鈥檚 has submitted a planning application to City of Edinburgh Council to build a 207-room motel on a 0.63-hectare site on the southern edge of Edinburgh Park.
Consultants on the project include 3D Reid Architects, Lichfields Planning Consultants and Amicus Property Consultants.
The proposed development will deliver economic added value of 拢38.6m (GVA) per annum just through the construction phase, the developer said.
Mollie鈥檚 managing director Matt Bell said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e worked hard to ensure that the submitted proposals are closely aligned with the council鈥檚 ambitions for the area to become the go-to destination for visitors outside the traditional city-centre hotspots. We鈥檙e confident the value-luxe, people-first approach of Mollie鈥檚 will integrate seamlessly with the wider Edinburgh Park vision, and we couldn鈥檛 be more excited to service existing and new users of the area and the wider community.鈥
Mollie鈥檚 Motels is owned by David Elghanayan, co-founder and managing director of property developer Nema Capital. Its other motels are in Bristol, Manchester and in the Oxfordshire countryside in Buckland.
