Reds 10 wins second London SEND school

7 Nov Reds10 has broken ground on a £19.4m project for a new school building for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Newham, east London.

Modular construction specialist Reds10 is building a two-storey, all-through education facility for Connaught Special School,聽with capacity for 105 pupils,聽aged 4 to 18.

The school will specialise in supporting autistic children with severe learning difficulties, helping to address the significant shortage of SEND school places in Newham.聽

This is Reds10鈥檚 second SEND school project in London that it has won recently.聽 It also has a 拢20.3m contract at Angel Hill SEND School in Sutton.

色猫直播 in Newham is now under way, with completion scheduled for winter 2026/2027. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 3rd November 2025, bringing together stakeholders from the Department for Education (DfE), London Borough of Newham and Learning in Harmony Trust to mark the official start of work on the site.

Designed by HLM Architects, Connaught Special School will have purpose-built classrooms, flexible activity spaces, outdoor play areas, accessible parking and interiors tailored for accessibility and student wellbeing, with calming acoustics and colours. It will be built from modular components manufactured at Reds10鈥檚 offsite factory in East Yorkshire.
