Paul McNerney starts work as chief executive of Severfield next Monday after 26 years with Laing O鈥橰ourke.
He replaces Alan Dunsmore who 鈥渁greed to step down by mutual consent鈥� in March after Severfield issued a second profits warning in five months.
McNerney鈥檚 appointment was announced in August but his start date had yet to be fixe at that time.
Most recently, McNerney was director, clients and government at Laing O鈥橰ourke and has previously been managing director of the UK construction business, Select Plant Hire, Explore Manufacturing and Crown House Technologies.
