Skanska to build £134m Delaware hospital expansion

1 Jul 11 Skanska has won the contract to expand a hospital in Wilmington in the US state of Delaware.

The contract at the the Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children amounts to UUS$215m (£134m). Skanska is also currently completing another children’s hospital in Florida for the same client.

The Delaware project is a five-storey, 40.000m2, 144-bed expansion to the existing Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children. The first floor will include a new emergency department, atrium, retail and dining facilities. The expansion will be connected the existing structure with a three-storey connecting link.

ɫèֱ²¥ will begin in September of this year and is scheduled for completion in late 2013.
