Alice Woodwark will join Vp as chief executive on 1st February working with incumbent Anna Bielby for a short handover period.
Anna Bielby was less than two years into the job when she told the board in September that she was stepping down chief executive with effect from 31st March 2026.
The board then began the search for a successor to and decided upon Alice Woodwark. Her business experience is mostly in catering, cleaning and facilities management rather than construction or equipment hire. She has been managing director of Mite Communities since 2021 and was a senior executive of Compass Group for nine years before that. She trained at McKinsey after education at Oxford (PPE) and Stanford (MBA).
Woodwark also currently serves as an independent non-executive director of UK Vistry Group, serving on its nomination, remuneration and audit Committees.
Vp executive chair Jeremy Pilkington said: 鈥淚 am really looking forward to working with Alice and I am confident that her experience, values and leadership style make her an excellent choice to lead the group into its next phase.鈥
Alice Woodwark said: 鈥淚 look forward to working with the excellent team at Vp to execute our strategy, prioritising the delivery of shareholder value through growth and operational excellence.鈥
