James Dring Power Plant Limited was established in 1964 and we pride ourselves on our reputation as manufacturer of high quality generation equipment to the UK and overseas. A family run business based in the heart of the East Midlands we are also founder members of the Association of Manufacturers of Power generating Systems (AMPS)

Specialists in the manufacturing of high quality bespoke diesel generating sets each one carefully designed, built and tested within our own workshops.

Our bespoke sets range from 3 to 3000kVA in single units with options to run units in parallel for larger capacity demands.

Using a range of leading internationally accepted engine and alternator manufactures for both industrial and marine applications, we can create any combination of generating set desired by our customers.

Our Product Range Inculdes:

Motor Generators â€“ Ranging from 5KW â€“ 500KW direct drive shaft flexible coupling. Inputs/outputs can be set to customers requirements.

Frequency Converters â€“ Manufactured from 5KW â€“ 500KW using belt drives and gearbox drives above 200KW. Inputs/outputs can be set to customers requirements.

Acoustic Enclosures â€“ Fabricated from Zintec sheet steel, rigid frame â€“ achievable noise reductions 86dBA@7M through 55dBA@1m. Central lifting point attachments available, and can be finished to desired BS paint specification.

Control Panels â€“ For either manual, auto or synchronised requirements and made in IP:54 rated enclosures.

Welding Sets â€“ A range of diesel driven generators from 200-600 amperes available on skid or mobile, weatherproofed or acoustically silenced.
