Be part of our client's team as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting and evolving enterprise-grade systems across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You'll design resilient infrastructure, automate operations, resolve complex issues, and mentor engineers-playing a key role in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable global IT services.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles

Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory

Solid Linux fundamentals

Experience with Azure and/or AWS in hybrid environments

Knowledge of identity and access management

Endpoint management and patching experience (ConnectWise or equivalent RMM)

Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell required; Python/Bash a plus)

Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)

Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN)

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Be Responsible For

Systems & Infrastructure Management

Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services

Manage Linux-based systems and perform routine maintenance, security hardening, and troubleshooting

Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud environments across Azure and/or AWS

Maintain and optimize identity and access management, conditional access, MFA, and security best practices

Manage endpoint environments, including deployment, monitoring, patching, and compliance using ConnectWise Automate or other RMM tools

Administer and optimize virtualization platforms, including VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox

Collaborate with the Network team on connectivity, firewall rules, VPN access, and network troubleshooting, while maintaining strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and core networking concepts

Monitor infrastructure performance and system health, and proactively prevent outages and service degradation

Automation & Engineering Excellence

Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, and optionally Python or Bash, to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads

Create repeatable system builds, scripts, and deployment frameworks

Improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security through continuous engineering practices

Mentor team members on engineering best practices, automation techniques, and efficient workflows to improve productivity and service delivery

Security & Compliance

Implement security best practices across servers, endpoints, and cloud platforms

Support vulnerability remediation, access controls, patch compliance, and audit readiness

Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for security and system events

Troubleshooting & Service Delivery

Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and platform issues

Perform deep technical troubleshooting across operating systems, networks, virtualization, and cloud layers

Collaborate with Service Desk, Network, DevOps, and Security teams to resolve incidents efficiently

Documentation & Collaboration

Maintain accurate technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures

Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

Promote process optimization through best-practice sharing, knowledge sessions, and continuous workflow refinement

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

Serve as a technical mentor by providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting methodology, automation design, and infrastructure standards

Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen team capability and operational maturity

Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and workflows

Other Responsibilities

Perform administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by authorized Company representatives through written or verbal instruction
