Hitachi ɫèֱ²¥ Machinery UK (HCMUK) has secured accreditation as an NPORS approved training provider and accredited training centre under the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS).
Hitachi said that NPORS recognition would allow HCMUK to widen its delivery of training.
Initially, the operator training programmes will focus on HCMUK employees but will in due course be expanded to external candidates, offering a wide range of courses, including forklift trucks, telehandlers and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), as well as excavators, shovels and cranes.
Specialist safety courses include slinger signaller, plant marshal, quick hitch awareness, abrasive wheel handling, and suspended loads.
HCMUK chief executive David Roberts said: "Although our immediate focus will be to ensure we have a consistent approach to how we train and support our own employees using the NPORS framework, later in 2026 we will be extending the scope of our training offering as a corporate commercial training provider to other relevant stakeholders such as our customers and other local businesses.  Â
“This collaboration with NPORS underscores our commitment to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professional development within the construction industry. By delivering nationally recognised training, we are ensuring that our employees machinery operators, and other businesses have access to the skills and expertise required to meet today’s demanding project environments. This accreditation reflects our dedication to supporting customers with trusted solutions and reinforces our position as a leader in advancing industry standards."
