Skanska to modernise Swedish hospital

6 Nov 13 Skanska has signed a contract with Sörmland county council to modernise the Karsudden hospital, outside Katrineholm, Sweden.

The contract for Landstinget i Sörmland comprises construction, rebuilding and a general modernisation of the premises. The contract value is about SEK300m (£28.6m).

The Karsudden regional hospital is the largest forensic psychiatric unit in Sweden. Skanska’s assignment comprises about 9,000m2 square meters of construction and 4,000m2 of rebuilding.

ɫèֱ²¥ work will start immediately, with completion scheduled for before summer 2016.
