Skanska wins university hospital expansion

21 Oct 14 Skanska has signed a SEK1.2bn (£104m) contract for construction of a new healthcare building at Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden.

The contract for client Uppsala County involves a 59,500m2 expansion to create new facilities for advanced healthcare and treatment in oncology, radiotherapy and surgery.

The aim is to certify the building according to the environmental classification system Miljöbyggnad at the highest level, Gold.

ɫèֱ²¥ work will start during the first quarter of 2015 and will be completed late summer 2017.
