Homes England has appointed John Reid as executive director for technical capacity and coordination, which is regarded as a pivotal role within the agency鈥檚 new operating model.聽
Reid will join government鈥檚 housing and regeneration agency in March 2026 to lead the national office overseeing the new regional operations.
This follows the announcement last month of five executive regional directors to the new model, which will take effect in April 2026.
Reid will lead the central office that supplies specialist expertise to the regions as required.
He joins Homes England from Herts Living, where he was managing director for the past three years. Herts living was the housing development venture of Hertfordshire County Council but it was wound up on 31st December 2025.
Before that he has three years with Meridian Water as development director and five years as director of Grosvenor鈥檚 estate development programme.聽
