The contract award, secured by competitive tender, marks the first time that Robertson Facilities Management (RFM) has worked with ScotRail.

RFM will deliver planned and reactive services at more than 360 locations across Scotland including stations, depots, signalling centres, office buildings, operational yards and passenger-facing areas that require year-round upkeep.

The scope covers winter gritting, vegetation control, litter collection, and wider grounds maintenance to support safe and well-managed environments across the ScotRail estate.

Robertson Facilities Management’s managing director for Scotland, William Heaney, said: “Scotland’s rail network plays a vital role in daily life and we understand the level of care required to keep such a large and varied estate safe, compliant and well managed. Our teams bring extensive experience in maintaining complex operational environments and will apply that knowledge to support consistent, high quality and value driven services across the network.

“We look forward to building a collaborative partnership with ScotRail that helps create welcoming and dependable spaces for staff and passengers throughout the year.”
